However, the writing never stopped. In 2008, with the addition of a new bass player and guitarist, Budian returned to public life, playing their first show in 3 years. September 2009 saw the release of their first full length album, entitled "The Beast".
Budian is a four piece band from San Antonio. Unorthodox timing and ethereal vocals are Budian's trademark.
Alex Zuniga is the most recent addition to Budian's line-up.
Alex has been playing one musical instrument or another since he was just 11 years old. He played the trumpet in school, but his real passion was the guitar which he has been playing for the past 8 years. He's also a great singer and enjoys writing his own music. Oh, and he likes the Beatles.

Formed in 2003, Budian wrote music and performed publicly until 2005, when the band stopped playing publicly to focus on other pursuits.
Scott Andreu, a long time friend of the band, joined Budian in 2008.
Scott has been heavily involved in music since the late 90's, when he began to develop an interest in discovering new music. While in Seattle, he volunteered at the Vera Project and shot show photos for music magazines. More recently, Scott has been organizing, booking, and promoting shows, and of course, playing in Budian.
Scott plays the bass.
Joshua D. Bishop began playing the drums nearly 10 years ago. The first band he played in was JBOT, which he started with three other friends.
Besides playing the drums, Josh's other musical interest is recording. Recording nearly as long as he's been playing the drums, Budian's "The Beast" is the culmination of his efforts; Josh recorded, mixed, and mastered the entire album.

Janiene Bishop has been playing music seriously since grade school, when she began playing the violin. More than 15 years later, she's still playing (and teaching) the violin.
Budian was actually formed when Janiene began writing songs in the summer of 2003 and decided they should be performed. It was a good decision.
Janiene sings, plays the keyboard and the guitar.
